Frequently Asked Questions.
Here are some common questions about Microcurrent and Treatments.
What is microcurrent?
Microcurrent is a low level of electricity that mimics the body’s own natural electrical current. Microcurrent stimulates the body at a cellular level to produce collagen and elastin and gently exercises the muscles back to a more youthful state.
Is microcurrent technology new?
NO, it has been widely used in the USA for over 40 years in the anti-aging industry. Our microcurrent technology is the only machine that has been FDA Approved for professional aesthetic anti-aging treatments and is manufactured in the USA.
Are microcurrent facial treatments FDA approved?
Not all microcurrent machines are FDA approved. WE USE THE ONLY FDA APPROVED MICROCURRENT MACHINE AVAILABLE FOR PROFESSIONAL ESTHETIC ANTI-AGING TREATMENTS.
Is microcurrent safe?
Yes, the RTY Treatment is completely safe. Are there any side effects?

Who are the RTY Treatments for?
The RTY Treatments are for anyone wishing to stop and maintain their youthful appearance and/or for those wishing to turn back the hands of time. There are no age limits for receiving microcurrent treatments; we have seen clients between the ages of 30 and 80.
When can I expect to see the results?
Results can be seen after your first treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
It really depends upon age, lifestyle and skin condition. Microcurrent results are immediate and cumulative. You will see results after the very first treatment, and a small series of treatments will be recommended by your technician to maintain your anti-aging results. All recommendations are specifically designed for your personal needs and goals.
Are there any contraindications?
Yes, there are a few contraindications that will prevent you from receiving a microcurrent facial treatment.
· Metal Implants
· Active cancer. Because microcurrent increases circulation and lymphatic drainage, it is advised not to receive a treatment so as not to potentially spread the disease throughout one’s system.
· Certain skin conditions, such as: psoriasis, eczema, cold sores, open wounds, and active acne. Because the skin is sensitive and can be “open” during these conditions, you will more than likely feel discomfort during treatment as the current is highly conductive to open wounds.
· Any contagious disease.

How long does each treatment take?
The actual microcurrent treatment takes 45 minutes. Due to pre- and post-treatment skin cleansing and massage, plan on being with your technician for about 60 minutes.
What can I expect during my treatment?
Your skin will be cleansed and toned and a hydrating conducting support cream will be massaged into your face, neck and décolleté. During your RTY Treatment session your technician will glide specifically designed wands through three finely tuned specific phases: circulation, sculpting/lifting, and setting phases. Once these phases are complete, your technician will perform a final massage to incorporate any remaining support cream.
How long do I have to wait between treatments?
Because a microcurrent treatment is very stimulating to the skin, muscles and underlying tissue, we recommend you wait at least 72 hours before your next microcurrent RTY treatment and no longer than a week. This will ensure you keep the benefits of the first treatment working to your final anti-aging goals.
What should I do before my treatment?
We recommend that you do not use any ‘oil’ based products on your face for at least 24 hours. Oil based products can cause a barrier and does not allow for full conductivity for the best treatment and results possible.
Within two hours of your treatment, it is advised to drink 8 – 16 ounces of water. This will better hydrate your skin to achieve better results because hydrated skin allows for better conductivity of the microcurrent.
Are there any after treatment recommendations?
To help ‘flush’ toxins and impurities from the body that has been stimulated from the treatment, it is recommended that you drink at least eight ounces of water immediately after the treatment.
Unless you have to reapply your makeup after the treatment, we recommend you leave the electrically charged nourishing support cream on for at least two hours before you wash your face.
What if I have Botox or fillers?
It is completely safe to receive an RTY Treatment while having Botox or fillers; however, you must wait for 30 days after receiving Botox or any fillers before receiving a microcurrent treatment.
We have found over the years that clients who have used Botox and/or fillers begin to use less and less because microcurrent is re-educating the muscles and stimulating collagen and elastin to firm, tone and smooth away fine lines and wrinkles.
